Opportunities at CAN

INTERNInternship

Are you a junior or senior in college? What about a graduate student working on a master’s degree? Great Wall China Adoption and Children of All Nations offers internships to students who are studying in various fields. Interns work with our outreach and marketing team, international adoption team, international student exchange team, case managers, waiting child counselors, and referral teams to receive hands-on experience. This is incredibly beneficial for students interested in pursuing careers in child and family development, psychology, social work, sociology, counseling, communications, marketing, and business.

**Note: These internships are unpaid. If you’re interested, please submit a cover letter, resume, and availability to: diedra@gwca.org

What our interns have to say about their experience with GWCA/CAN:

I interned at GWCA/CAN for one semester and would highly encourage anyone else interested to apply! Since my major was international relations, I was able to utilize and directly apply my classroom knowledge to this internship. I acquired invaluable skills that have helped me grow as a humanitarian, student, leader, and now as a full-time employee. This internship was an incredible opportunity to learn more about how non-profits run and function on a daily basis, as well as being able to work with various departments within the organization. The staff is fantastic, so kind and welcoming! I loved the fact that no day here ever looked the same.
I truly had a great experience interning for GWCA/CAN. The staff is extremely knowledgable and successful with what they do. It is clear how many families have been positively impacted by this agency. I would recommend this internship experience for anyone interested in working in adoptions. This experience broadened my knowledge anout the international adoption process from both a professional and personal outlook.
I wanted to say thank you for the past few months interning with GWCA. Everyone at the office was so sweet and welcoming and I admire all of the hard work that you all do. It takes a special person to do everything that you do for GWCA. Interning for Great Wall has opened up my heart to possibly working in social work in the future, or even adopting one day! Thank you again for the opportunity, I couldn’t have enjoyed the experience anymore than I did!
I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to intern at GWCA. I have gained valuable insight into international adoption. My experience at GWCA no only increased my interest in international adoption, but confirmed my passion to work for child welfare services. THANK YOU!!!
I just wanted to thank you for offering me the incredible opportunity to work at Great Wall this past semester. It was such an amazing experience, and I feel so lucky to have been able to learn from you and the entire team. The work that you all do truly does change lives for the better, and I feel so blessed to have played even the smallest part in it. Also, thank you so much for treating me to lunch. Being with you all was the perfect send off, and it meant so much that you all took the time out of your busy schedules to go. I wish you all the best, and please keep in touch!
