June is National Family Month
June is National Family Month celebrated from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day. Regardless of their economic status, ethnic or cultural heritage, or geographic location, families are experiencing the pressures caused by contemporary society while trying to raise and nurture their children. At this time, let’s make an extra special effort to do meaningful activities with your children. Everyone has probably at least one vacation they want to take this summer, and Heaven knows we all need it, but try to remember little moments where mom and dad share a laugh, give a pat on the back or just listen to something silly a kid want to tell you even when you are at your busiest can go a very long way in strengthening your relationship. Celebrate the amazing diversity and prosperity of our multicultural adoptive families who went to the furthest distances to build their families! You make America a great place to grow up! National Family Month was created by Kid’s Peace, the oldest, most successful, and most comprehensive not-for-profit organization dedicated solely to helping children attain the confidence and develop the courage necessary to confront and overcome crises.
