Welcome to the Fostering Hope – Child Sponsorship Program. Fostering Hope provides opportunities for giving back to children in need through individual and program sponsorship. Sponsored children will receive monetary donations from individuals and families to support their orphanage or foster home care, nutrition, schooling, therapies and medical care based on their individual needs. Sponsors receive photos and updates on the child that they are sponsoring, and get to see firsthand the difference they are making.
Below are children available for sponsorship. You can choose to sponsor a child or sibling group on a recurring monthly basis – or make a one-time donation to the child. This adorable little girl is called Natalie. The day our staff visited her in the orphanage she was not happy gal. She is 2 years old and was abandoned by her birth mother when she was 1 year old. Her mother had no financial means to take care of her and abandoned Natalie with another family who brought Natalie to the orphanage for care. She has been living in the orphanage ever since then.

This is Jacqualine. She has been in the orphanage for two years. She is 13 years old. Jacqualine lost her mother at a very young age. Her father remarried and forced Jacqualine out of the home. She was forced to be homeless until she was helped to come to the orphanage and become a babysitter for the younger kids. She is now in the process of beginning her primary school from September 2015. She is a quiet and sweet child even though she has had a rough life being homeless .

Edna is beautiful two year old girl full of joy! She was abandoned at a market by her birth mother when she was just 2 months old. Her mother said to the fruit seller to take Edna for a minute claiming she had an emergency just around the corner. The birth mother never returned again. The fruit-seller waited a long time and Edna began to cry. After she was declared abandoned Edna was taken to the local orphanage.
Edna likes to play different games with other children in the orphanage, singing and dancing Burundian songs. Her caretakers tell us “She is very aware of injustice and defends herself if her right seems to be taken by other children.” She is very sensitive to love and craves affection and hugs.

Abigail is an 8 years old girl, studying in elementary school. She was abandoned in a hospital shortly after her mother gave birth to her. She is a healthy and happy little girl, who likes to play with her classmates. She takes care of her little sisters and brothers in the orphanage. She’s spontaneous and loves to sing and dance. She is very clean and keeps the orphanage areas tidy.
